Cecily strong

  Cecily Legler Strong was born February 8 1984. She is an American comedian and actress. Strong is well-known for her role as a Saturday Night Live cast member between 2012 between 2012 and 2022. Strong is the longest-tenured female member of the cast during the course of the show's history. Strong was performing improv in The Second City, Chicago, when she completed her studies at CalArts. She was later appointed by SNL. Her current role is a star in the Apple TV+ musical comedy show Schmigadoon! She is also co-producing the show (2021-2024).

 

 She also voices The Awesomes (2013 to 2015) and has supporting roles in films like Ghostbusters as well as The Meddler. She was host of the White House Correspondents' Dinner in the year 2015. Her debut book, a memoir This Will All be Over Soon, was published in 2021.

 

 She was nominated by Primetime Emmy Awards at the 72nd and 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards as Outstanding Supporting Artist on an Comedy Series for her work on Saturday Night Live.

 

 Early life

 Strong was born in Springfield, Illinois, and was raised in Oak Park, an inner suburb within the ring area of Chicago. Strong is the daughter of Penelope and William "Bill" Strong, who worked as an Associated Press bureau chief and at the time of his death, he was running his own firm of public relations. Penny Legler Strong is a nurse practitioner who has worked in numerous hospitals of the area. Strong's parents divorced. Strong has watched SNL alongside her mother as a child. She would recreate sketches with her best friend and would watch old SNL commercials on VHS. "I have a tape of the best commercials that i utilized every day. She has said that she was inspired by Phil Hartman.
